There is no limit to the number of flights the company will be able to operate.
The airline has not confirmed a start date for the new route. Once that date is finalised, the airline will announce the days and times of the route, said Dionne Ligoure, head of corporate communications. Caribbean Airlines also flies to Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Canada, Cuba, Curacao, Venezuela, Grenada, Guyana, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Suriname, United States, and Trinidad and Tobago.
“Caribbean Airlines is an authentic Caribbean airline which provides passenger and cargo services,” Ligoure said.
The airline’s cargo service reaches 80% of the Caribbean, according to a company statement.
The airline was designated by the Jamaican government to operate flights between Kingston and George Town, following a memorandum of understanding between Jamaica and the United Kingdom, according to a CIAA statement.
