We connected with April Roberts, National Trainer, Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris to ask all about trans-seasonal haircare. She says that avoiding heat is key and reminds us to treat our scalps with care.
Just like we would change our skincare from season to season our haircare needs to also be changed depending on the time of year.
During the summer months there is an increase in humidity and this can wreak havoc for your hair fibre causing it to become frizzy and dry plus you may also notice an increase in oil on your scalp due to the heat. Also, using sulfate shampoos. Sulfates are a common ingredient found in shampoos to give the foaming effect and make you think your hair is left super clean.
