The Joe Biden government will order weekly vaccination or covid tests to all companies with more than 100 employees , in a new effort to defeat the delta variant of the coronavirus , which generates a wave of infections, the White House said on Thursday.

Companies should "make sure their workforce is fully vaccinated or require non-vaccinated workers to test negative at least once a week," he said.

The measure will affect some 80 million people and adds to the extension of the vaccination requirement for federal employees and all those who work in hospitals and receive federal reimbursements for health care.
